Washington, DC– On July 22, the NeighborWorks Alliance of Texas launched the ‘Home’ Campaign. The campaign was created to showcase collective success and realm of services for the NeighborWorks Alliance of Texas organizations in order to improve awareness. Each organization has been granted funds and materials to implement the Home Campaign. The participating organizations include: Affordable Homes of South Texas, Alamo Community Group, Avenue Community Development Corporation, Business and Community Lenders of Texas, Community Development Corporation of Brownsville, Fifth-Ward Community Reinvestment Corporation, Foundation Communities, NeighborWorks Laredo, NeighborWorks Waco, Nueces County Community Action Agency, Tejano Center of Community Concerns, and Tierra De Sol Housing Corporation.
The NeighborWorks Alliance of Texas is revitalizing communities through leadership and community development programs, by offering home-buyer education and financial counseling services. These services make home buying achievable and rental accessible. Which ultimately leads to stability, security, and empowerment among residents, resulting in stronger community programs and many other positive changes.
“One of the most difficult things for housing non-profit organizations to do these days is to effectively reach out to potential clients to let them know about our services. The Home Campaign is doing a great job of reaching potential clients, and we are seeing very good results and we are hoping for more through the campaign,” said Roy Nash, President and CEO, NeighborWorks Waco and Chair, NeighborWorks Alliance of Texas.
NeighborWorks America launched the NeighborWorks Alliance of Texas, an agreement between 12 regional housing organizations dedicated to expanding and preserving housing opportunities for all Texas residents. Over the past few years, the NeighborWorks Alliance of Texas has helped over 9,000 families with affordable housing and financial literacy. By focusing attention on what makes a neighborhood a great place to live, work and visit, the Home campaign will lead to more positive perceptions and inform potential clients about the assistance and information that the Alliance organizations offer.
